
Protecting Your Privacy
Your privacy is protected by federal and state laws. The conversations between you and your counselor are confidential with the following exceptions:
- Suspected abuse of a child, disabled individual or elderly adult
- Threats of harm to your self
- Threats of harm to others
The therapist has a legal and ethical responsibility to ensure the safety of all persons. Details of therapy sessions cannot be disclosed without your written permission. At Counseling for Growth & Healing, we take matters of your privacy very seriously, and will ensure that your rights are protected under law.
